Not doing PP this year......

It doesnt look likely that we'll see PP or our beloved pine walk apartment this year......didnt actually get there last year either with new baby arriving at our usual holiday time and brothers wedding too.
The price of doing what we usually do......flight, car hire rent apt on PW...has just gone too dear especially with the neccessity to go now during school summer hols (not like previously).....has meant unless we win the lotto or get some bargain that PP is out of our reach for the foreseeable

However we (all 5 of us including baby Sadhbh who is 11 months now) are heading near there for mid term May.....to Cap Roig L'ampola on the mainlaind. I think I'll be able to get a glimpse of Bonys and Bar Cultural if I bring my binoculars!

It will be strange landing in Reus and not Palma and I'll miss the lovely drive tp PP.....but am looking forward to it nonetheless.

I know this is a wee bit "off piste" but I would love to know if anyone has any experience with Cap Roig? L'ampola? or the company we booked acc with Catalan Ways?

We are renting a 3 bed apartment on the Cap Roig resort.

Hello Megkill - you would probably be able to halve your rental costs at least by looking away from the PW and still have a fab time in PP.

We usually go Saturday to Saturday but as we had the owners details of the apartment we stayed in last year we emailed her and asked if we could go Sunday to Sunday and this enabled us to go with Easyjet on the sunday with similar flight times to Thomsonfly on the Saturday at almost half the price, and if you go just a little bit back from the PW there are some reasonable priced apartments
