No not really, you should try it in August, people queue to get in, yes the atmosphere is good with the setting and the chill out area inside with the squashy sofas and as you say the menu has a great choice, go veggie:)

I agree with sws we love it at Tiberi and always have great food and service, and a warm welcome... especially from Marcos the owner (swoon :p)

We've never been rushed and love the chilled out atmosphere and the music. Having said that we tend to eat late. around 9.30 , so possibly the staff are more relaxed as the early stampede is over

Had the most gorgeous pasta there once..ravioli stuffed with mushrooms raisons and pine nuts in a very gorgeous, at least a million calories creamy sauce :)

LOL @ Jane :D

I did think that after I'd re read my post. Lets let him dream on ;)

:( I am still here you know, just to clear up things the handsome guy you are talking about is the manager I think the young guy with curly hair, the owner is the same guy who owns Guru as well, he is older, fatter and has less hair, hence the similarity, sorry if you are reading this, I love your restaurants

Oh for goodness sake, NOW I know why you keep going over there Debz! I will definately be needing an introduction to this place now, as its one we have never yet been too!!

.... just read the menu.............

I'll maybe give it another go then SWS - it always seems tempting - the menu is varied but we have yet to have that memorable experience where everything falls into place - youknow?

Although to be fair, I remember the first time being nice apart from the steak - the lighting was quite romantic and hubby liked the free glass of beer at the start.

Is there a quieter time of night/ quieter night to go?

Lala

Hiya LALA,

A wee bit off topic, but on hols in Ibiza (4* hotel) met family who thought food was awful... but they had been watching us (the first week) and always thought ours looked great. 2nd week, they joined our table, and we talked thru the menu each nite, and their impressions changed totally. They just made different choices and it worked. Dont know if its a 'lost in translation' thang... that u sorta get used to, but it made a difference to them. (and btw Tiberi works for me and my son but I dont even get to go there with my husband, hmmm the original steak'n'chips man... get my drift ! lol )
I would give it another shot...but just take time over ur choice and enjoy

Bella would that be an introduction to Tiberi or Marcos ;) ?

We can do both in April! You did see him if you remember, the night of the 3 Kings, in Makkasers which is their sister restaurant :)

Oh NOW I remember! Yes, you were quite friendly with him werent you! LOL! Havent yet been to makkassars either, It looks a little intimidating for some reason.
