Hi. We want to visit the smaller nature reserve L'Albufereta. Can anyone tell us if there is a car park and is it well signed off the main MA2200 coastal road?

Hi Sally,

It´s right next to the Can Cuarassa restaurant, about 650 mts distance from the roundabout where the ring road and the beach road join up.

Thanks so much Molt. This forum is great for new visitors to get information from all you helpful regulars!

Hi Molt
Is it the next turning after the restaurant and is it clearly signed? Or literally right next door to the restaurant? Trying to look for it on Google Earth!

Ahh, I can see the road next to the restaurant now on Google. Do I just drive up there, park in a car park and then follow trails?

There is no real car park, just a pot-holed road which for the first 50 mts is wide enough to park a car.

From there on you need to walk ( or cycle ) to the first little lake and then further on to the next one.

I would go either very early in the morning or after 7 in the evening.

Found this on the web if it helps, I think its very low key and not as organised as the S'Albufera Natural Park which is the other side of Alcudia

s'Albufereta is mainly privately owned, and access for the public has been difficult in the past. These new trails have been introduced so that visitors can observe rare bird life, orchids and protected plants. The path starts at the Can Cuarassa restaurant, and guided tours are available on Saturdays
