Pet travel to UK

We are hoping to bring a stray cat back to the UK from Pollensa. Can anyone who has travelled to/from the UK with their pet recommend a shipping agent in Mallorca, or give me any general advice? She won't have a pet passport, so will have to go into quarantine in the UK, which we are sorting out. Also, can anyone recommend a vet in the Pollensa area?

Are you getting the cat from the Refuge? In any case, I'm sure if you give Josefina a ring they can advise you on a vet and/or transportation. She doesn't speak English, but her husband Martin does. The number is 971 53 21 80.

Thanks Linzzz. No, she isn't from the refuge. I'm hoping to visit it next time I'm in Pollensa - I've seen the signs from the main road. It's only since I've been looking on the Internet for advice on bringing the cat back that I've found out what a fantastic job the refuge does. Anyway, I managed to find the phone number for the vet in Puerto Pollensa and they were helpful.

Hi Claire what a lovely thing to do, have often thought of fetching a dog back to the u.k from the refuge but wouldnt have a clue on what to do and how much it would cost.Please keep us informed on how it goes.Good luck

In that case, why not consider a dog from a refuge near you in the UK? The RSPCA website has full details.
