It is difficult to post on an area about non touristy things, when the area is a tourist area, and growing more so it has to be said. However, if you look at the Events and Entertainment section, you will find more about what is going on a bit more less touristy! Have a look!

You are of cause entitled to your opinion, but I would have to disagree with everything you said, you are wrong in your assumption and have clearly only read a very few posts.
There is an awful lot about the tradition, history and lives of the local people on this forum, Sant Antoni is one example, an almost completed local fiesta discussed and posted about recently.
I think you need to check the facts before making statements such as you have done!

12 Post and you think you can do better than the people with 1000s of post lot of it very useful info the Restaurant section is a mine field of info and helpful to people who not been to PP before. Also don't lets forget the Events and Fiestas talking of which only 11 weeks to wine festival maybe you should go to this may cheer you up abit dought it though.

Finally if you got something to say make it positive not negative looking forward to reading your post soon.

Forgot to add Pollensa and Sparky do a great job not that I always agree with them.

Your wasting your time folks, Majorca veteran is a member of what I call the " Yes but brigade "
No matter what you put his way to show he is wrong, he will come back at you with " Yes but " and then make his negative point again. As for his point that PP will end up like any other resort, I assume by that comment that he has or will stop going.
I think he needs to understand that this is an all encompassing forum and things he finds boring, others find helpful. The last time I looked this forum was not titled " Everything you wanted to know about mallorcan history in pp".

If folk are stuck for info about day to day matters, it's going to be of no use to them knowing when the indigenous folk first set foot here.
Imagine the conversation. "I need a specific branch of a bank to carry out some urgent financial transaction, can anyone point me in the right direction "

Agree with Bean Counter, i think that Majorcan Veteran is getting the result he wanted, best ignored!!! I for one find the forum really interesting and if i have a query regarding PP, nine times out of ten i can find the answer somewhere on here. Just one more point if we are all so boring why would Majorca Veteran even look at the forum??
