Playa Mar

Hi there, has anyone been to the playa mar on the formentor road?
I'm thinking of booking there with my partner and 2 sons and wanted to know if it's a good choice,

I think it depends when you go - we have been there for the last 3 years in May and we love it - we are a family of 4 with a 11 and 9 year old - theres loads to do if the weather is good all around the pool and the reps are excellent ... however i've heard it can be a different story in the height of summer - noisy ott ect
Also its quite a walk f 30 mins from the center but it is a lovely walk right by the edge of the water - we normally hire a car so that we can get about a bit more easily as we love to go to Formentor

Hi bluestar, is this the same hotel? It's on the edge of puerto and is a Thomson family hotel.
We're going in May for the reasons you mention, plus we don't want it too hot.
I agree Formentor is lovely, can't wait to go back but we'll go on the local bus again

yes thats the one - we were pretty unlucky with the weather in May this year but heres hoping for better next year

and it's 30 minutes from the centre of PP? I didn't realise it was so far?
I've been to Majorca in May before and it was wet for most of the holiday.
Hope it'll be better next year

Yes a would say it is at least 25mins walk especially with children - the road is quite boring but if you take the pine walk - go down the rd opposite the hotel you're right at the waters egde and it is lovely. We have been 3 years running but only had probs with the weather this year
