I was in PP last week and got talking to someone who said a friend of theirs had hired a car from a Puerto Pollensa based car hhire firm .... but the firm actually picked the family up from the airport and ferried them to PP to collect the car locally and they had a similar arrangement for return

Only problem was she didn;t know the name

Sounds like a great arrangement to me, especially for thosenervous of driving from airport but quite happy to drive around locally

Anyone any idea who this company may be ?

For anyone who is interested

I have been told by motosformentor and a couple of others that they woudl love to provide this Service BUT it is illegal for them to collect from the airport and transport people to PP for the purpose of hiring a car

Last year we picked our car up off airport (mini bus job) which was a bit of a pain but it meant that we could return it in the Port and take a taxi back to Palma at the end of the holidaywhich was much nicer.

The company was Hiper with an office just up from the roundabout in the port. Apart from the 20 min wait at the start of the holiday we had no complaints - even got a free upgrade.

Motos Formentor now advertise free airport service on their website and now have an office near the airport. So may now be able to offer one way rentals. I know Hiper do. The other company was Goldcar/Europa but the office in PP has a for sale sign on it, I am told.
