Pollensa Golf Club has re-opened the restaurant today, it is called "El Gallo Rojo" .

I heard the golf club was struggling and the only food it was serving was crisps. I really hope this is a success I have always enjoyed lunch at the club and I'm looking forward to playing the course for the first time in September.

Our only experience with the golf club was in 2008. It was so appalingly bad (both service and food) that we've never had the slightest inclination to give them a second chance. Probably in our top five worst meals - anywhere, ever.

the views and the setting are excellent. The golf course not so excellent unfortunately.

The Club has had financial difficulties for sometime and has been without a chef since Dec 2014. Therefore they were only able to offer sandwiches (garnished with crisps.)

With regards to service, my daughter had her wedding reception at the club in Oct 2014. The food and service were first class. Luis who led the team, was in fact on duty from 9am until 2am the following morning and still smiling.


I believe the club is now under new management and has a resident chef, so I hope the club once again becomes a great place to lunch. The view is incredible, even better IMO than that from Hotel Llenaire. I will certainly give it a try in October.
