Pollensa Holidays.com - anyone had any experiences?

Hi there

I've found a very nice apartment through Pollensaholidays.com, and so far the chap has been helpful with our arrangements. However, there have been problems with the website, I can't seem to find an address for the company and they don't take credit or debit cards.

I'm sure it's all fine, but has anyone else here used them at all? Would be grateful for any feedback.

I would never buy online from any company that does not accept a credit card
It is your guarantee should they default

Have just had a look at their website Pollensa Holidays and it appears to have had a make-over! I can only advise that they have advertised with us for several years & we have not been advised of any issues with bookings during that period. They may not take Credit Cards & often pay for advertising by cheque.

It may be an idea to advise them to to put full contact details on their website - it may have been an omission with their new site.

Most Mallorcan lettings company's deal in cash it is the way things are done in Spain, we have been travelling to Pollensa for 20 odd years , using as many different company's to rent different properties, we have always paid in cash (many times receiving a discount) never had one problem.Although as Chas points out if you find an English Co & pay by credit card then you can get your dosh back if it goes tits up.

I took a look at the thread as suggested, thanks Sparky, and it seems that it covers some of the same issues back a couple of years ago ie: poor admin, tech issues with the website etc.

Still, hearing that people have used the company and all was well seems good news. They've been going for 40 years apparently ....
