It's great to see everyone out enjoying themselves in the square, I did think about visiting there in January, so I can sit there and wave to you all, checked the buses but they only seem to run from Consell, but we could get the train to Inca and then a taxi, so may give it a try

Definitely on our list of places to visit next year - and the castle as well - lovely sunset there this evening:)

The walk up to the castle is wonderful, great views although too high for me! Been through the town loads of time but never stopped I don't think! Certainly a beautiful area of Mallorca, lovel valleys and villages around there

Stayed in Alaro earlier this year and loved it. The walk up to the castle was stunning, a truly great place to visit.

Re Alaro web cam. Doesn't it make you sick. Me sat with the heating on and those folk sat at the tables outside under a sky so blue it looks like someone painted it. Grrrrrrah, (good luck to them )

Not so nice today, its raining in the square!

Yep, but we all know Mallorca, the sun will be out later !! ;) :) :)

I was looking at the webcam at about 6am uk time the other day, people just beginning to walk around going to work, the street lights were still on and it had a romantic "just waking up" feel about it. It was pitch black here in the uk still too and added to the feel which may have altered my view of something.
In the foreground there is a lamppost. Underneath this lamppost in a cosy glow, was a couple in a loving embrace. Were they there in secret? Were they going off to work or leaving each other for a long while? They stayed that way for a while with the coming and going of a few others crossing the square. They were still there when I closed the laptop down.

Today I looked at the busy market and realised its some sort of statue in front of the lamp post that looks totally different in the day light!!!!! I prefer my early morning romantic eyes!! ;)

Those windbreaks on the beach certainly did their job yesterday! Loads of sand on the pavements and road though. Must have been some storm

Yes Debz it was really bad, apparently the glass screen around the Daina swimming pool was shattered :(.

Lol Bella - it is very strange how the light can play with surroundings! I agree the romantic idea is a stronger one. Perhaps the statue is there to acknowledge someones past and perhaps secret?

You have reminded me though - I need to make my Specsavers appointment!:)

Did look one heck of a storm though didn't it. Very strange weather everywhere at the mo but PP seems to have had a run of it of late.

Geek that I am - I googled the statue and it's either by Enric Broglia (famous sculptor) or of him - varies from site to site which it is:confused: But I prefer Bella's interpretation:D Lovely morning there today with everyone out and having morning coffee (or something stronger!) in the square.

:) Thanks Rosie, good to have a bit of history for it ~ not too busy with Xmas preparations then! ;) Try and look at it early in the morning and see if you can see what my sleepy, romantic mind saw!

HELP!! I have just ugraded to Windows 7 and now cannot play the Alaro market place webcam(my new favourite) - or any of the Livepro cams - I get the message 'no playable source' or similar - any gurus out there who can help - Please..........

Usually a good idea to make sure you have the most up to date 'Java' installed on your PC. Hope this helps..;)

Thanks WW - I will check that - all the other webcams play perfectly:confused:

I am using win7 here at work and its ok for me, it uses Adobe flash player so check you have that installed, also make sure you have the latest window updates as well!
