how much for a pint...
how much for a voddie...
how much for a bottle of imported beer etc
not a mad drinker just keen to compare prices with over here.
thanks in anticipaction of your answers.

Hi Kendo prices do vary quite a lot from place to place but i would say they have not increased in 4 years. You can get a large beer for 3€ and a spirit + mixer for 3.50€.:D

thanks for your reply...had heard a couple of horror stories that it could be as much as 6-8 euros for a pint!!!!!!
the last time i was in PP we had a drink in the irish bar near the square and my irish chum had the black stuff and i thought it was about 8 euros????
thanks Sparky

No idea where you got those prices from. It annoys me some of the rubbish people must spout.

Drink prices are comparable to the UK, maybe slightly cheaper even, and you get at least a double measure so technically half price!!!

You'll have no problems with prices.

Last year Bony's was selling Guiness @ 4€ a pint but i don't know how much it is this year.;)

Thank you everyone , can rest easy now!!!!from now on I only ask this forum for advice on PP. If I bump into any of you in July I will buy you one of those 3 euro pints

Re Drink prices. It might just be me but over the last few years they seem to have come down rather than increase. In Some bars and restaurants i've laughed at how cheap the drink is. :). Comparing spirit prices is a bit pointless. EG-- How do you compare the price of a single measure of vodka in a british pub ( I call it condensation) to one in pp that is usually half way up the glass. With difficulty say's I, and after you've drank a couple your in no condition to compare much of anything lol ;):)

If you frequent the like of the Irish Bars then you will pay more than a lot of the others in the vicinity, as with a lot of the bars on the front, if the r/e keeps improving then we will all notice a difference, this has been the main culprit over the last few seasons.A lot of the bar owners have been unfairly criticised, that's outwith their control, as Sparky says most of them have not increased their prices in 4 years, doubt very much if we'd get such leeway in the UK. Don't know where the story of 6-8 euros a pint originated from, that's total nonsence.

Price of drinks in PP

I think the prices of drinks have kept remarkably low compared with the UK. Last night a pint of bitter and a small glass of wine cost me £7.05. Last year at the Joker a small lager and a glass of wine came to 5 euros with a 10% tip. If the prices are the same this year that will equate to about £5.50 if I have a pint and a glass of wine. And I will get a sea view and sunshine rather than nicotine stained ceilings. Roll on August!

At the current exchange rates your beer and wine for 5 euros will be nearer to a smile evoking £4 - happy hols:D

Kendo. For value and local hospitality go to Bar Cultural on the square. We went in there every evening when we were out last year and after a couple of evenings the owner asked me why I was drinking bottle of Estrella. I was slightly puzzled . Then he explained that if I drank the draft I would save 50 cents per glass. Now that is service that I doubt you'd get in a tourist bar in Blighty. Like I say, great bar run by a very nice family and they make you feel really welcome.:)

Bar Cultural it is for me 🍻 you have been very helpful

The Bar Cultural is now a few doors up from the post office and thaT bar has new owners and is called Circulo cultural . I'm sure the prices are not too much different.

Hi Tommo the bar has had a major refurb have a look here at some pics of the new Circulo Cultural in the square Circulo cultural - a set on Flickr , as Lollipop said the prices are still very good.

Bar Cultural is now in C/Roger de Flor just up from the post office. :D

You can get a beer and glass of wine in the Cultural for 2.50, amazing value and very friendly. And Max's Cafe just off the square is great value and great fun.

Hi Sparky. The Bar looks great. But am I mixing up my bars? Too many Estrella's perhaps? The bar I meant is on the right hand corner of the square and Carrer Metge Del Llopis when facing the church.
Pity we wont be there again this year to enjoy the hospitality but you keep up the good work and enjoy the half full glass.

Hi Tommo, no you are not getting mixed up, the bar was closed late on in the season last year, Manolo and daughter moved the "Cultural" to a new site in C/Roger de Flor (just past the post office) and they are still there.

The old bar has had a complete refurb, it is now called "Circulo Cultural" and is run by twins Alex and Pedro who i am told are the grandsons of the owner of the building :). Sorry you won't be here to see it for yourself but hopefully you will visit again next year ;).
