Puerto Pollensa in November

Hi guy's need some help about Puerto Pollensa in November. Have been to Madeira and Tenerife in the winter and thought we would try Hotel Daina. We really like to chill big time on this holiday so wouldn't be looking for any excitement. We do take our daughter with us. Any coments would be welcome. Thanks Anne

Hi we've visted in November and had fab weather but the resort was really quite-hardly anyone about-suited us -great for getting around and seeing the Island-but forget sunloungers on the beach and going in the sea.This time of year can be hit and miss with the weather-take a brolly and something warm as well as the shorts.

Thanks for that. Am still undecided. Option 2 is a log cabin on a Loch. Pollensa has the edge....

I went 2 years ago with my daughter for the last week in October

didn't expect to have summer type weather but was pleasantly suprised ............... we wee on the beach every day, she was in the Sea every day and I ventured in on 3 of the days ..... it was colder than July , obviously, but sea temps were about the same as we have experienced at the end of May / early June

I think we had a lucky week, but from what I was told, if it's not raining, its fine and if it's fine at that time of year it's still warm

We loved it and will do it again that time of year .......

However, November could be different again .... I guess because the week we went corresponded with UK half term , the place was a bit busier than in the mid of November ..... though I guess if your daughter is off at that time, some other schools will be as well , so it shouldn't be too empty

I was in PP that half term and as my daughter ended up in hospital, I was there with her for three weeks so ended up staying there in November too. It got hotter and hotter as the days went by but I do think we were lucky, well if you call sunbathing on the hospital terrace with a drip in your arm, (my daughter, not me)lucky. Seriously, lots of the shops were closing for the winter but the sales were fantastic, so once we were out and before she got the go ahead to fly we did have a lovely, restful time on the beach and browsing round the shops with lots of rest breaks in the bars and restaurants which were still open and amazingly quite a few were for the first part of November.

I have been in November/December other times and it has rained too.

We are always in the port at the end of November for our AGM.

Weather can be a bit hit and miss but usually the days are warm but the evenings colder and most of the tourist resturants and shops have closed.

Great time for getting out and about and doing some exploringas it is nice and quiet.

Hotel Daina sometimes closes at this time of year without notice if they do not have enough bookings and you get sent to the illa'dorf or the same price - worth a punt just on the off chance that you do get an upgrade!!

Now that could make me change my mind! Will have a look about the Daina in 17 days....and counting. Thanks for the comments.
