Has anyone been to the Spanish restaurant replacing Mediterraneo opposite Aparthotel Flora Junction of Medico Lopez and Munez Nunez? I don’t know the name but have been told it is used by locals and very good and open until late.

It's called El Albero and is often very busy with locals. Very nice welcome from the friendly staff. Only had a coffee so can't really comment on the food or menu.

El Alberto is run by Xon and Marie who used to have Gemini Bar. You could not wish to meet a nicer couple. The clientele is generally locals, the drink prices are remarkably reasonable and the food (I understand as I’ve not tried it yet) looks very good. Tapas, burgers, etc.

I think it’s well worth a visit.

Hi Marilyn, Bob and I went to El Albero a few times last year. Very friendly, family run bar with reasonable prices. Good for lunch time snacks and drinks. We didn't eat there in the evenings, but they were always busy. Worth a look.

Thanks all for the feedback. I will definitely give it a try next week.

Just don't have the patas bravas unless you like curry sauce!!

We had tapas there one evening in April and it was fantastic. The place was really buzzing with loud football on but a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately we ordered far too much as the portions were huge so spent the next 2 days eating up the leftovers for lunch! We had the potato's braveos too and I liked them but they were repeating on me for days! We are here now and will revisit but order much less! Well worth a visit as very good value.
