Has anyone had a problem booking shared transport from the airport to Puerto
Pollensa, as when I tried to book for March, all I am offered is a private transfer
at £ 160 return.. Help, not paying that !!

They do not start till April and finish End October best use pubic bus its very easy and think I paid 8 euro one way last week
Take the airport shuttle bus into Palma. Ask the driver he will tell you when you need to get of at the main station. Then turn left as you get of the bus walk around 100 yard and you will see entrance to train and bus station. Go down the stair or escalator to the bus station and you want the L340 it usual goes straight to Pollenca then into the Port.It takes just less than 1 hour from Bus station into the Port. Great Service. If you check online you can get winter time table. I know the last bus is 9.15pm hope that helps

Many thanks Fil6699, I thought it was me not using the Resorthopper site correctly,
I might try to book one way in March & back shared in April as I will have luggage this
time.

Another option (as L340 is sometimes a 2 hour interval) is to take bus to Alcudia and then €12 in a taxi to PP. Did that this week.....

Did they charge you for Insurance usually it is only CDW and you have to take out extra compulsory Insurance which brings the price up over double what you thought you were paying with Hire company. Watch this when you think you have a cheap car hire deal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fil, you are right, but I'm in the port, wing mirrors all pulled in, no movement on the petrol gauge, and when I go back next week to see my wee Fiat 500, hopefully myl cunning plan will come to fruition. 😈

I hope it works out.what deposit did they make you leave I know some company's ask for 800 Euro deposit. Just want people to be aware that when looking at car hire deals in the winter in particular they look like deals that are to good to be true. but they don't show the whole story. :D

As far as I can remember, they only took out the hire of the car, 40 euros, and said to bring it back full or they would fill it up and charge me the difference. There were cars on the site from 2 .50 euros a day but it was bring back empty, I splashed out 5 euros a day but the petrol was full/full.
He should have given me a crow bar with it right enough to get me in and out a fiat 500:D
