It looked a bit too white and dull to us !!

We prefer a bit more atmosphere Have eaten in quite a few Michelin Starred Rests over the years but there is a time and place and we just like to relax on holiday so not for us

My late wife and I did try it and your post just about sums up our thoughts at the time. More atmosphere on the moon. Just my opinion . After all, if we all liked the same thing we would never get in would we?

We are spoilt for choice in PP and only have to remember to make the bookings in good time

Other places we visit in the year dont give us that problem and when we used to go to Greece it was a case of making the best of a bad choice !

i admit I posted a negative comment about Argos (the lack of menus outside) - having not even visited. Having now remedied that situation, I'd urge the doubters on here to give it a try. We ate there in August and had a fantastic meal - really memorable; we ate from the a la carte menu as there were a couple of options my husband didn't like on the set tasting menu (which I seem to remember is actually only 28E, not 40E as someone posted). For the quality and inventiveness of the food, even the a la carte prices are not extortionate - comparable to the a la carte prices at Stay, and the food is to be honest in a different league. Personally I don't like the white, minimalist decor - that's just a matter of personal taste - and the location isn't ideal for attracting foodies. But if you want a really special meal then Argos is definitely worth considering. Hopefully the Michelin star will enable them to bring in many more customers, which will obviously solve the problem of the lack of atmosphere - though when we visited, even though it was far from full, it didn't feel in the least formal or starchy, and we had a very relaxed and pleasant evening. This restaurant deserves to be successful.

They Don't sell food in our local Argos.
They do give you a menu, very large and heavy.
Micro wave ovens and all other cooking requisites also available
and snacks from a vending machine.

This is one definitely added to my list, for the next trip whenever that might be.

The restaurant had completely passed under my radar and my bet had been that 365 at the Son Brull hotel would have been the next place in the north of the island to get a star. There's now nine starred restaurants on the island which is a good indication of the improving standards of cuisine. I wish I had nine starred restaurants in that close proximity to home!

I think that because we stayed and ate there a fair bit when Martin and Elka ran it, we were rather disappointed by the new La Goleta. Maybe, just maybe, the time has come to give it a try. It's a great location to stay.
