Funny how views etc. differ so much. We regularly use the Marina Cafe and find the food, views and ambience great. Never really had any bad meals/snacks there. Also find it very friendly.

However, I've only ever eaten at Don Corleone once in February several years ago and to say the "meal" I was served was bad was an understatement. It ranked in the handful of worst meals I've ever had anywhere. That said, the place is a lot smarter now but, like others, we always comment on how dead it is. Maybe I should give it one more try?!

We haven't been to Don Corleone for a few years. From what I remenber the pizza/service was ok then but nothing special..Will give it another go at Easter.

sws97sdg the old italian you were asking about is Puro Gusto, near to Clivia, next to the lingerie shop.

Vote for Corlene

This is one of our lunchtime spots for a couple of drinks and pizza .We always get nice food and good service but funnily enough I have never considered it for our evening meal.

Perhaps we should reconsider....

The chef who was there last season is back again now and in my opinion makes a really tasty pizza. The restaurant does suffer a little in trade terms due to its location as others have stated but once a few tables get occupied this does attract more customers. Carlos is a good host and hopefully will get the support he deserves.

Thanks Lollipop, I know the one you mean, thats a shame we have eaten there before and it was nice, interesting to see how an Indian does there, bit out of the center, although thinking about it, if they do takeaways, near to the taxi rank it could do well late nights!!

I have heard from a reliable source that the LLenaire restaurant will be run by Romanians this year. Also Julia and Pepe from Siurell will not be involved in the Galleon this year.

My reliable source said the same lollipop, so it must be true! Wonder if we share the same source then!? ;)

Well, "Centric" is no more. The sign has gone and the whole restaurant is having a facelift along with new owners, i am told it will be another Italian but i don't know what it will be called yet.

This restaurant is now open but it still doesn't seem to have a name , the pink colour scheme has gone and it's now grey and white.

According to the name on the new menus they are continuing with the same name, the MDD appears to be very nice depending on your own taste of course.

Is it an Italian then and, if not, what sort of food are they doing?

Lee in Nozzies told me last night that the guy is a friend of his and that he is Italian so it must be

Hi everyone.

New to the forum, but been using the website for years (naturally). I only really went into centric last year having been to p.p for the last 10 years or so. But if anyone ever tried the montaditos in there then that would be every reason to return. I am heading over at the end of june and am so disappointed to hear it has closed. Can anyone else recomend a good tapas/montaditos bar. We used to go to neptuno until it was taken over a few years back. I hope i have posted this correctly as i have never posted anything before on any forum of any kind.

tapas route would be a good start, check a few places out first

love the log in name, like a bit of ska myself ;)

"Noun -
A style of fast popular music having a strong offbeat and originating in Jamaica in the 1960s, a forerunner of reggae."

From Google for those wondering as I did !!!

Bar Rumbo and Rustic cafe are both very good for authentic tapas, have a look here for locations and more Restaurants, Cafes, Bars in Puerto Pollensa (Port de Pollenca), Majorca Mallorca :D.

Interesting re the above two places on the route. Must give them a try if authentic tapas. I would hate to try some to find out later they'd come straight out of a freezer bag from a "Spanish Iceland" !!!
