Modesto is excellent and well worth a visit. In short, it's simple food, cooked with love, and served with personality. It's a grill, so specialises in meat, but also serves fine fish and vegetarian dishes.
Bar Mallorca is great for lunch, and worth the wait on the occasions when the service is slow. The menu is wide and varied.
Cal Patro on the steps is best for seafood, but beware the price of fish that is not listed on the menu - it's on the dear side.
Cala Barques has an outstanding view but ordinary food, and the waiting staff seem disinterested. It's also overpriced in our experience.
Pizzeria Poli serves average (but perfectly acceptable) pizzas, and has a large crowd on a Saturday when it dishes out suckling pig.
Bar Marinas looks a dive from the outside, and the owner has a reputation for being miserable, but it seems to meet the needs of those on a tighter budget.
We've never been to Pepe's or La Tasca but they look OK and seem popular.
