Yes it's still open, we dined there last Saturday and the food was excellent as always.:D

Will be there from Wednesday next week, eating most evenings and also having the chef's special "meals on wheels" when at the beach or fishing. great to have one's own special chef (love him)

We have visited the Sparrow every year and always found the food to be fantastic , I think when we first went there it was Spanish owned and run but last few years mainly a chef who spends winter in Scotland and summer in Pollensa but food still great

One place I have never seen mentioned on this site is Ca’n Pancho. We have been here several times over a few years and never been disappointed. This is one of the older restaurants in the port. The original owner, Pancho, was the father of the current owner (Katy) and his photo appears on the front of the menus as well as in the restaurant. He looks quite a character as is his daughter.
Ca’n Pancho offers good, simple, Mallorcan cooking. They do a wicked paella and their Creme Catalan is to die for (imo). You can sit outside or inside (which although not air conditioned has lots of ceiling fans to keep you cool. Katy is a joy to behold. A tiny lady she does not stop talking or walking. She whizzes around the restaurant at high speed shouting out instructions to her husband and staff. Nothing is too much trouble and she is a truly wonderful hostess albeit at a most un-Spanish speed! It is lovely to see one of these traditional restaurants surviving and we always look forward to our visits there.

Ca'n Pancho

@Meerkat

Can you please tell us where Ca'n Pancho is located?

Thanks
Mike
