Now thats good news great bar and Tapas. Hope they keep going in the Summer.

Have just heard that a German TV channel (Canal 2DF) is going to be filming the Ruta in PP this Friday :D.

I have just heard that the very talented David Giverin will be appearing in the Rustic Cafe this Friday to celebrate Balearic Day :D.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY

The Ruta del Tapeo has been going for a year, many congratulations to Denise who organises it and also to all the bars that have taken part over the last 12 months :D:D.

Is that really a year already, yes well done Denise, this has been a great addition to the port, well done to all the bars as well it must have been difficult at times but I hope it has paid off for them, we now use at least two places we found via it, have a great party tonight, I understand one of the local TV channels are filming it tonight, is that right?

Congratulations Denise and Miguel, this year has really helped put Rustic on the PP map. We have been visiting Rustic for years, but feel the Ruta del Tapeo has helped Rustic reach out to many more people that can appreciate Miguels hospitality!

Any news re whether route will move back to Thursdays or remain on Fridays?

Selfishly I am thinking about Good Friday - whilst I love to go to Pollensa to watch the "coming down the steps" this will mean I miss the Ruta

Unless of course it occurs on a Thursday that week ....... but I guess I can't expect the whole Ruta to change just to suit me ............... or can I ?

Anyone else with the same dilema?

As far as i know the Ruta is staying on Friday.......at least it is for March so Good Friday being on the 29th i am afraid you will miss it CD :(.

And of course the Thursday that week is Maundy Thursday and there is the Easter celebration in Pollenca which locals attend anyway.

Much as I like the idea of the T shirt, I cannot agree that the text is appropriate for Puerto Pollensa. It's the kind of thing I would expect of Alcudia or Magalluf so, sorry, not my vote. I would hope for something a bit more subtle and with a Spanish feel.................but then, I might be in a minority!

That makes 2 of us then:)

Not good is it! I'm another who agrees with Tonsyl's (and Pollensafan's) sentiments.
Excellent that so many establishments now do Tapas - several did previously - but it does not need turning into a circus. Should be seen more as providing a further facility for both visitors and locals alike and being a much needed help to the local economy; especially out of the main summer season when such help is most needed. I'm sure that the 'route' will be appreciated by many - hope it continues to do well and thanks to all involved.

I agree the T shirt is not promoting the Tapas Bar for the fun family evening out that it is, but more like a pub crawl for a stag or hen party in one of the more, for want of a better word, 'lively' resorts. I don't think it will encourage most new holidaymakers who haven't a clue what La Ruta is to give it a try.

Hello everyone, I totally agree that this t-shirt is not exactly representative of Puerto Pollensa and its exciting tapas route, we would not promote that the tapas route makes you drunk? There must be other motives and texts that can promote it in a positive way?
Any ideas?

Agree with all the above, if you want to promote the Ruta you must have at least its name of the shirt and a better description of what it is about, its more about the food and discovering new places than the drink, although of cause that is an important part!
