never fails to amaze me how close to buildings the fires are built in fairly narrow streets too, would never be allowed in the uk

just a thought though, surely peoples flats must end up full of smoke do they never complain?

The weather has been perfect today, as is normal the timetable went out of the window. It was after 3pm before the tree was up, the straps came off and by 3.40pm it was all over. Brilliant atmosphere and so good to catch up with friends we haven't seen for a while.
I have some video and photos which i will post over the weekend :D.

I agree Sparky. It was a beautiful day and everyone including his dog were out and about. Bumped into so many friends, chats, hot coffee, following the tree (well, for a bit anyway), and the sun shining for the climb. For me, best San Antoni ever.

We went to the Ternelles Valley and I have to agree, weather perfect and so many more people enjoying the festivities. The tree finally came into the town by the Roman Bridge at about 5pm. Goodness knows what time they got it erected and climbed.

We watched the last 20 minutes of it on TV in Manduca and it was just before 10pm when the guy reached the top ;).
