Mostly right there roy although there was an exception where she would have " Juan " for the road :)

It might be worth having a separate thread for the brothel as the poor Sea bar is being lost here, any reviews, I understand they had live music the other day, did anyone catch it?

I think that is my fault for which i apologise but i don't think we need a separate thread as it no longer exists :o, but yes i too am looking forward to seeing reviews of this new venture.

From memory this was originally an Indian restaurant.

You are correct Gommar Goffer. It WAS originally an Indian Restaurant opened by a Majorcan by the name of Dionis from Pollensa. I believe it was one of(if not) THE first Indian restaurant on the island and the food was superb. He imported an Indian chef from London. Unfortunately it didn't last more than one season as it was "before it's time" as far as the locals were concerned. How things change! Now Indian restaurants are all over the island.

We had morning coffee at the new Sea.Bar.Is this morning & had a chat with Billy. He has great plans for the place - restaurant obviously ( menu featuring many Ivy Garden favourite dishes); cafe bar; juice bar; etc etc. This Sunday 12 April he has a salsa group playing live Cuban music. Sounds fun. We wish him well.

Does that mean that it is run by the people who had the Ivy Garden?

Ok! bit more central than where they were!

Lol, ok, what I meant was they will have more passing trade there, they were too far the other end before! although maybe too far the other way now!! ;)

Okay Folks. now correct me if I'm wrong but I assume we are talking about the place on the corner just up from El Ancla. If that's the case, is there some hidden area of this that I'm not aware of, because apart from that small terrace at the front and side there is no other space. The rear of the inside ( which is very small )backs on to a villa

I think its in a great location as its about 3 minutes walk for us, very friendly staff , free tapas with each drink, its not a massive place but what does that matter! Decent prices for sea front and they sell Old English cider on draught , ice cold . Very nice.

It's looking reasonably busy whenever I've walked/driven past over the past couple of weeks - think they've done a great job.

New sea bar

We had a drink there yesterday. Nice pleasant service, fair prices and what food we saw looked really good. This new bar has a lovely bright beachy feel to it andof course a great view. Hope they do well, this could be an asset to the port

I think the whole beachside area is looking much more spruce and lively than it has done for the last couple of years - what with the revitalised Hotel Romantic (v impressive), this new bar and the rather attractive wooden beach shacks. A bit further down Ca'n Josep is also looking great. Let's hope they all have a fantastic season.

Walked past there today..it looks great..very modern and bright ..no doubt we will have to try it at some time this holiday 😉

We used Sea Bar a few times during our recent trip out to PP. A warm welcome from Billy, a great setting with that marvelous view - and the chicken & chorizo salad was absolutely superb.

Well worth a visit.
