I was on the sea front today and they have removed the old lamps on the beach side at present from the marina roundabout towards Corb Mari. The fittings are being replaced so it looks like we will be getting new lights. A step in the right direction:)

Absolutely Lollipop :), some of them were pretty rusty and were in danger of falling especially in the high winds we have been getting .

Hallelujah..........!!!

Well, that's my Chrimbo present from PP sorted!!!

How many times have I banged on about getting those rusty, broken and not working lights sorted. This will really smarten up the seafront. Excellent move, although rather overdue but never mind.

Will be interesting to see if they are a like-for-like replacement or the more modern kind.

No they are not like for like , they are more like the shape of the ones around the square but they look very neat. Some of the globes lower down the seafront appear to have been renewed as well. They are also replacing some of the broken slabs starting from just beyond Tamarells. All positive moves I think.

Yes, when I visited over New Year they erected all the front line lights. Very simple but smart looking and of course they will all now work!!

Have they finished the second line of lights, i.e., the ones immediately in front of the business premises does anyone know?

They are replacing some of the paving slabs along the seafront ,starting at the llenaire end. However at the moment the tiles and equipment are covered in sand following the storms last week. They are however working to clean up the paths and beach yet again.

Work on the pavements has restarted and the tractor was on the beach along the pine walk section today.
