For some time, people have been posting about how many days it is until they go to PP again and, indeed I have also done this in the past. Due to a spate of incidents concerning computer hacking and theft of information I wondered how easy / difficult it is for an expert to find more information from the records and identify the location of anyone who is, in effect "advertising" that they will be away from home?

Unless you are using your real name as your userid or giving away personal information, it shouldn't be an issue. Info such as your email address which you use to sign up is never given away. Having said that many people use the same 'nickname' on several forums so even if personal info is not published here, it may be elsewhere.

So be careful. I have to say that's why I don't publicise my visits in advance as it is quitre easy to find my personal details as I'm the domain owner, Co. Director etc.
