Did anyone notice the disabled bay on the right when viewed from the web cam is now a pedestrian crossing? Although just had another look and maybe its my imagination due to the way people have half parked on it!

Changes in times.

They have changed the times when the road is closed to vehicles. This has been posted on FB :-

From this weekend, from Monday to Sunday between 14.30 p.m. to 5.00 am, the paseo saralegui closes to the movement of vehicles.

The stretch of paseo saralegui between the street the cano until the round engineer rock to facilitate the exit of vehicles in the area of ports the movement of vehicles will be open until 18.00 hours.

A few teething problems (or just ***** arrogance) as we saw a motorcycle and a car driving up the road yesterday evening. They were both going fast!!!! 😡

We noted the new timings when we walked into town on Friday - however no signs for the tourist driving along the fron for the view! Turn left into Paris Avenue and if you do not know the area it must be a nightmare - I expect many eventually find there way to the bypass and go back to Alcudia. However the new pedestrianisation is good except everyone still walked on the pavements. Noted as well that they are charging for the car park at the front - only if you know the area would you be able to find it anyway so it was empty when we went past. All good things have a downside and our apartment is on the bypass - a quiet road when we bought 20 years ago - the bypass is definitely busier that it has been

Carol my apartment is in Pinaret and the number of people driving aimlessly around trying to find a route out is quite amusing :)

It does seem strange walking up the middle of road but we are making a concerted effort to do so when we stroll up to town in the evening. I noticed yesterday that Nonnas have moved a few tables and chairs onto the pavement
(not sure if this is allowed but I think it's a good idea) so it will be interesting to see if others follow suit.

I hope they have a license for the tables. I read the other day that the council will be inspecting terraces to make sure they are conforming to the rules :(.
