It doesn't really matter what most of us think about all this , it is the effect that all of this has on this years visitors & what future years tourists think about it.
lets assume that it will look the business, but up to now visitors obviously really like PP & the way it works.The accessibility to the beach is amazing & should this be threatened then that would be a disaster.
Certainly improve it but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I'm puzzled?
I can't see anything other than a positive effect on PP when this is finished.
Reading your posts I think you really are worrying unnecessarily.
Just think, this time next year all of us will have forgotten the mess and how bad and narrow the pavements, two way traffic etc. we're.

I agree. One way traffic and large pedestrian crossing speed bumps will make it a lot safer for locals and visitors with children.

They don't work on Sundays. Apparently work will stop on Tuesday for Easter then restart again next week.

We are staying in Pinaret next month so are quite worried now in view of the potential parking problems - its never been a problem before but I hope we don't end up having to park miles away from the apartment
Chillax....its never as bad as you think!!
As Sparky keeps telling us ...Just wait and see...Deal with whatever when you get here.

Personally I am not at all impressed with how it looks. I'm thinking a couple of years down the line what now just looks like cement with a few childish sketches of shells every so often will look very grubby cement. I understand that improvement was necessary but this seems to be a waste of a lot of money to achieve so little. I wonder too how the summer traffic will cope. I was told that cycling is allowed on the pavement too which must be dangerous. This is my opinion and this is not my country so counts for little. It really has little to do with me and as Sparky says we need to see the finished results.

Should be able to watch them laying the path soon, they are right in front of the camera but hiding behind a Palm tree at the moment!

Some of the photos I have seen seem to show part of the road SO narrow! I can foresee a few snarl ups ahead!

I had to go out over lunch and may have missed it, but has anyone seen them using anything to stamp the surface, it looks like they are leaving the finish smooth, I thought they were going to give a slab effect to it?
Forget that, its looks like they are doing it now, round blue pads!

Some parts there is only one a single lane with cycle lane and no parking which is why it isn't very wide at that point!

Single lane roadway, 3 metres (10ft. approx.) wide, one way. Plus 2 metre (6.5 ft. approx.) cycle lane on seaward side. 'According to the drawings'.
(It will look very narrow in comparison with the previous / existing front line roadway - P. Londres, etc.)
Along with others am looking forward to seeing the 'completely finished job' which will be some time hence - possibly 2016/2017 - and hoping that it will truly benefit PP as did the pedestrianisation of the Pine Walk, the improvements to the main square, the harbour / marina, et al.

Was in PP over the weekend. Doesn't look that bad tbh. Looks to me like a single line of traffic in from Alcudia with a cycle lane (not that I saw that many cyclists 
).

Have just seen (for the first time) some recent photo's of the works on, shall we tactfully say, an 'additional web site'.
The buff paving slabs laid in some of the new the concrete paths on the seaward side must have been planned / laid by untrained personnel. No artistic merit whatsoever!A competition at the local primary school would surely have come up with a better answer.
Very sorry to report this..... thought it would have been much better, along the lines of the quality of previous projects in PP, e.g. 'The Pine Walk'. I can now understand a lot of the fuss previously reported by others. I still really do hope the final look of the works can be 'rescued' by the possible pre-mentioned coloured resin finish (if there is to be any colour / resin finish) in lieu of the monotonous grey we have at present - the buff pavers 'could' have added some relief if they hadn't been just 'chucked randomly' in the concrete.
