Using the car analogy, true story, just had to buy a new car again, well second hand one, after someone decided to crash into the back of our other one we had just bought at 40 MPH.
I had been looking at one for a long time on the web, it looked great from a distance, just what we needed, so decided to go and have a look. When we first saw it we were slightly disappointed as it had a few little dents and a scratch on the colour coded bumper, it had been in the showroom for a while and was a bit dirty with hand prints on it. We of course would have wanted a new one or one with fewer miles on it but we couldn’t afford this. We stood back and looked at it and thought, do you know what, you can hardly see the faults with it and it looked so good from a distance, so we decided to buy it.
So glad we did, once we got it home, cleaned it, filled in the scratch with polish and touch up crayon its looks as good as a new car, and now we don’t even point out the small defects to anyone we show it too as they don’t even notice the faults, everyone says how nice it looks and how much better it is from our previous one. The car does exactly the same as a brand new one would it gets us from A to B, the same as a new one, it looks almost as good, and very soon the new car will have a few dents as well.
Sound familiar!
