Stay over-rated?.

Only going places where you would be recognised regardless of the quality of the food is completly ridiculous ....
almost as ridiculous as refusing to go somewhere because of the way a waiter pours the wine or because you think the other customers are all too old

I agree We go where the service is good and the food and the wine and the surroundings ! Dont care if people remember us or not ! We are holidaymakers obviously different if you live there and visit all the time

A Taverna in Rhodes we went to we stopped going to because the owner kept coming to sit down with us ! I would rather talk to my husband !

I certainly would not waste my money in a restaurant that didn't provide me with good food and service and i honestly don't know of anyone who would .

A few years ago we befriended a couple here in PP and ate out every night with them with alternating choice of venue.Every time it was their choice we were obliged to go to a restaurant where they were known by the owner,member of staff,cat in the kitchen or even the parrot in the cage outside.As a result we ate in some awful places! They were just happy to be recognised and it made their night.Our philosophy is to eat where the food is good and not worry whether we were known or not.
