Stolen Residencia Card

Hi,
Would anyone be able to give me advice on next steps about a stolen Residencia card? I had my bag stolen and my card too. I filed a police report and want to know how I get a replacement ( I realise that I may not get a card now as they changed them to a piece of paper) I have a photocopy of my card. How much does it cost to renew, is it the police station in Palma that I went to orignally? How long does it take to process? Any advice or pointers would be very much appreciated.

Hello Freya2 and welcome to the forum,
I am so sorry to hear that you had your bag stolen, hopefully you were not injured at all.
I recently obtained my Residencia and NIE and have posted my experience using Mallorca Solutions who were brilliant and can only suggest you contact them for advice. I do know for sure that you will not get another card, only a piece of paper. Here is the link to my post:-

I am fairly certain that you will get a piece of paper like all applicants after the date the system changed. The original only costs about 6 euros so can't see that they can charge much more than that for a replacement. Take your passport,old copy card and photocopies of both down to the Police hQ in palma .My experience was that the queuing for EU citizens was minimal. Good luck
