Work is going on to repair the damaged areas, there are no trees on the footpaths.

Hi Laura and welcome to the forum. I think it means all the trees that had been blown down have now been cleared from the site :).

No Laura, it means the ones that had fallen over and were lying on the path have gone, other than the few that had come down the rest are fine and new ones are being planted too, so don't worry!
Whoops.. was there any more damage in the bad weather last week?

Sws97sdg. I don't think any more damage was done other than a couple of sunk boats!!.

Hi,
This is my first post on the forum (but a daily lurker on the site - I just love it).

I am just about to book an apartment above Little Italy for a few nights at the end of May. I'm now worried about the construction work. Not so much about there being much at that time of year, but more about the visual intrusion on what used to be such a lovely walk.

Will any construction work be allowed at that time of year (e.g. light work sawing/hammering etc)? Does it look an almighty mess? I'd hate to sit on the balcony and think I was in a construction site.

kind regards

Storm damage along the Pine Walk

Hi Anseof - no you will be fine. All the work has been halted and the site is just an empty plot at the moment.
Your view out to sea will be all you need for a fab holiday above Little Italy!

Lorenzo, thanks for the reply. I'm so looking forward to our holiday. This will be our first time with a pinewalk sea view.
