I think a 15 minute walk may be a little ambitious!

Takes me 45mins normal walking speed from Illa D'Or area, so I would think more like 30mins from the Helados hut

But generally longer as tend to get sidetracked for a cocktail on the way

Great walk home though - guilt free pudding

I must walk a lot faster than you lot!! Hopefully we will be walking around from Alcudia on Saturday so I will time it and also try to get pictures of the work, and at Hotel Romantic for you all!

Will await results of SWS's timed walk ;)

Here's your alternatives ;)

Taxi should be around 6 Euro.
Well worth on spending for dinner in Ca'n Josep or Josep's version of Tango.

Or bus 352 - single 1.55 Euro (0.80 reduced) as per last year's prices.

Any news on who/what is going into Josep's old premises?

This has just been posted on FB :-

Y por fin llego el dia! Mañana lunes abrimos las puertas en un nuevo espacio y con muchas novedades! Además estamos preparando un fiesta de inicio de temporada muy especial para las próximas semanas... Os iremos informando!!!

1/2 hour, its official, although that wasn't walking fast, they were putting the finishing touches to it on Saturday, inside looks very modern, like the old Can Josep, the have left the bar as it was, but its now light and de-cluttered, tablecloths were being laid, the gates were being painted and a fresh coat of anti-fouling paint was being applied to the boat!!! no kidding!! pictures to follow

Think Josep has a big party booked already, either this week or next. Hoping it's a great success & looking forward to dinner there in April!!

Pictures from our roving reporter in PP, Sparky's run out of film for her brownie box camera if anyone has any supplies please forward on to Sparky.

SWS,

That's fine, I will use my electric zimmer, no problemo. Or get the Memsab to tow me along on my skateboard perhaps.

Cheers,

Jimbo

We went to Josep's yesterday evening and had a lovely meal from his MDD. The place looks very different, much lighter and I'm pleased to say it was buzzing, lots of locals and just a few English. He was doing a special menu at lunchtime today as well. He will be closed on Sunday evenings and Thursdays at the moment.

That's really pleasing news! Feel sure it will turn out well for him & Lucie.
Lookng forward to sampling ourselves in April!!
