Taxi Costs

Hi,Does anybody know how much a taxi costs from the airport to PP we are a family of 5 and are staying for 3 weeks in August so car hire is quite expensive.Would Ialso be best to book a taxi or just get one when I arrive.

We're a family of 5 and you would need a 'taxi grande' as the ones at the airport are only licensed to carry 4 people.Unless things have changed in the last couple of years the larger taxi's aren't available at the airport so you would need to pre book one or take 2 smaller ones which would cost a lot!

When we go for 3 weeks if we decide not to have a car the whole time, we hire one for a few days which means we can do a big Caprabo shop and do a few CSV/ Formentor trips. The rental is normally not much more than the taxi. We then get a taxi back to Palma..the link below is a very reliable company that we have used many times ..based in the port and can do both pick-ups and drop- offs!

I have just returned from PP and used Alicia and Tony of Zarza Taxis for the airport run.- booked it online and the cost for 5 adults plus luggage was 84 Euros each way.

I can heartily recommend them as they are both extremely friendly and kept good time.As the villa we rented was a bit out of the way at Siller we also used them for trips out to restaurants etc. as we then didn't have the problem of trying to explain the location of the villa.

I would aslo recommend Zarza Taxis. A very friendly and reliable service from Alicia. Thanks to Simone from Caramba Cafe (best internet and coffee) and Martin for pointing me in the right direction!
