The Galeon to re-open.

Well it looks like the rumour is going to be squashed - or at least put on hold. Latest news is that Tango is not going to move out of Ca Vostra. They were, but have now changed their minds. So rumour has it! A bit of excitement for a while there though, lets see what pops up next!

I have talked to a member of the family today and she confirmed that Tango were going to move but are now definitely staying put, so we can now put that part of the rumour to bed.

Absolutely. Evidently they realised that they have such a huge clientele at the Ca Vostra building, that they would never all fit in at the Galleon! If it aint broke, don't fix it! As they say!

No, it was actually because the owner of the Ca Vostra building gave them a much better deal on the rent .

Well that certainly wont have hurt either!

Galeon

Further to my further posting I can confirm that the Hotel Son Sant Jordi will be running the Galeon Suites. They are currently working on the Wellness Centre and they are hoping to open at the end of February.
I am also delighted to announce that I shall be offering this property on my website and details will be added this weekend.

Thats brilliant news JMD. An excellent addition to the Llenaire area. Will they be taking the restaurant over as well do you know, or will that part of the business be let out separately?

The Galeon are adding a wellness centre to the huge top floor terrace with sea views. Sauna, turkish bath, jacuzzi and a treatment room for massages. All the rooms are being re-painted and work is going on around the pool area too. I think it may be closer to March when they re-open and it is going to be lovely.

Rumours abound on hotel, and the most recent one is Pepe and Julia at Restaurant Siurell in Llenaire, are taking over the restaurant at El Galeon - he is keeping Siurell as well and having the restaurant in the Hotel as a bit more up market place - he will do menu del dia and a la carte. He is hoping to be open for April 1. I will keep probing my insider for any further details!

Love Siurell, one of my favourite restaurants, so glad he will continue with that too, would hate to see any changes there....perfect as it is.

Lovely little corner! Certainly seems that Llenaire is having a bit of a refurb - love the Galeon building, a few older styles of building along that area, what with the Uyal hotel as well.
