You've got to forget what fish and chips costs at home! The Codfather serves them in a pleasant restaurant with very pleasant staff, yes they could do it cheaper but you would be walking along the road with it wrapped in the Sun/Daily Mail, which is all they're good for anyway

NO I would not think for one minute that these two bars freshly batter their cod not being either a fish shop or restaurant but as Sparky says still very nice. (Is it me or are we attracting a lot of Willy's & Whaley's)
