Just wanted to share my experience for anyone thinking of this, this was my first time driving abroad so I was a little nervous.

Lluc needless to say was worth the visit but apart from one spectacular scenery point on the way I dont think the drive from LLuc to Soller was worth the hassle. When I say hassle I mean this drive took a lot out of me in concentration etc and I was very tired by the time I reached Deia. Now the scenery from Soller into Deia,Valdemossa and down to Palma was fantastic but next time I would think going into Palma and out to Valdemossa,Deia would be a less challenging route and you get 90% of the scenery to boot.

I should add I was driving on my own which may be one cause of frustration as you can't drive those roads and take
a glimpse at the view at the same time,I also thought they could have done with more viewing points, rest stops on the way.Maybe I would have enjoyed it more as a passenger!

Hi

couldn't agree more, accept for the being a passenger bit-I think you need nerves of steel and pants of rubber to sit on that side up in them there hills! although mrs bodge loves it-ooh look at that-ooo look at the veiw!-nightmare!!!

Hi Bodge, never thought of that, maybe I had the best seat after all:lol

Hi

We are just back and we did the drive you mention

from PP to Lluc is lovelly , lluc is well worth avisit and I have to say I also really enjoyed the drive from Lluc to Soller ..... I think the driver did too, he isn't here to ask at the moment but he didn't complain

We all loved it ....... stopped off at the reservoir for a while as well

Obviously, we didn;t go home that way , we went home via the tunnel as it takes about a third of the time

Hi cd,glad you enjoyed it,what do you mean by the tunnel, just curious,is it another way back without going into Palma?

When you drive from Soller to Palma you can go over the mountain ( 30plus hairpoins - not for the feint hearted but an experience .... I have done it but probably won't ever bother again since the tunnel was built. ) and the other way is through the tunnel .... you can;t miss it .... you drive out of Soller , taking the road signposted to Palma and it's right there in front of you .... costs about 5 euros

To get back to PP you carry on along thatroad untill you see a sign for Santa Maria .... you go through Santa Maria .... we usually stop and have a drink in one of the little cafes ... then carry on and you are on the Palma - Inca motorway and the rest you will know
