Went tonight and my first impression is that i will be going again. It's still got that feel about it but it's fresh and clean. The service was good and friendly, the food took a while but i don't have a problem with that because it was freshly prepared.
The only downside and it is out of their control, is that the new street lighting is still not working, which makes it very dark along that street.

Sounds great sparky, as you say with freshly prepared food you dont mind waiting especially if the service is good as well, hopefully they will get the street lights sorted, that must be the same for Tiberi and around into the square as well then?

Yes SWS, Nico's and Tiberi were both closed last night and this made it even darker. :(

Thanks for that, Sparky! The sacrifices you make for this board:D Suppose someone's got to do it.

LOL!!! @ Smiddy :D.
I forgot to add that you can get many of the dishes in 3 sizes, the price of the smallest ones start at €2.50.;)

If you don't mind me asking Sparky - What did you have to eat?

Car77

Of course not Car77, we had bread, olives and alioli, medium plates of Russian salad, pork in mushroom sauce, chicken croquettes, baby squids and a couple of glasses of vino and the bill was €22.:D

Sounds great Sparky, and very reasonable, the smaller sizes some good as well, I am determined to go more 'local' this time and will be eating much later and having a few drinks and tapas first, will definitely try here, can you still sit at the bar and eat do you know?

Its great to sit at the bar with the locals, especially if you know a bit of the lingo, isn't it Sws? Its the traditional spanish way to enjoy Tapas, usually after work with a drink or 2!! ;)

It is Cheryl and the locals always used to be in the old Neptuno, I wonder if they will return to this new one?

Thanks Sparky. The food does sound good - just the sort of things I like. I often find I prefer a few different tapas dishes for my main evening meal, shared with Hubby and the kids as I love all the different tastes. This suits me better than one large meal.
I shall hopefully try it next week when we are out.

Car 77

Could not agree more car77, there are times especially when it is "hace calor" that we just can't face a meal and a few plates of tapas are enough. ;)

Sounds good value for money will pay it a visit when we arrive in June - thanks Sparky

Neptuno
