Those pics have cheered me up Whaley.... Good to see my puppy is looking so happy :)

Its amazing that it seems so clear sometimes and virtually invisible at others, all depends on the time of day and the weather ofcourse. Definitely more visible when the greenery is all around it too. :)

Following on from cala san's post about 'the horse' I've been meaning to post about the 'puppy' in the mountain :)

If you look across the bay from PP just to the right of La Victoria you can clearly see a puppy's face . It's got a button nose and long droopy ears and looks like a King Charles spaniel!!

Debz,

Add more lemonade dear.

cheers,

jimbo

Debz,

Just had another look and there is a *loody hamster looking down on the pup from the top of the hill, honest!
Forget the lemonade and pass the brandy.

jimbo

yeah I see it too, Spaniel to me, lol, will be watching out for it on our next trip

Oh you have got to be kidding me Jimbo! A hamster??!! You cannot be serious!

Bella,

30 degrees North East from the pups nose, the highest point of the hills. It does look like a hamsters' head looking down at the pup.

I know I am right, the voices tell me I am.

cheers,

jimbo

And in the summer..to the top of the right ear is is either roy oribson or elvis.(.many a debate on the beach on this ) ;)

Jimbo, well I can see a cute little teddybear / panda face, so that could well be your hamster!

Cath, we all know that Elvis has left the building, so no reason why he shouldnt 'ear I suppose! (sorry ) ;)

LOvely view of the puppy dog whilst eating lunch at Can Josep. He looked quite warm with the sun on him!!!!

How about the hooded monk with his arm pointing to the sky, only seen on cloudy days to the right of the puppy And from around june untill september on sunny days the main mountain can be either quasimodo's face or the top of a gorillas head ,depending on the light. I may well of missed it but never seen anyone refer to the lion that sits on the top of the vincente mountain range to the left.

I will have to find out what your favourite tipple is!!!!

Hi el gordo, No tipple honestly. My wife and i and friends have noticed them for years. I'll try to get some shots and post them.

And there is even a name for this concept :)

Taken from the lifeslittlemysteries website....

But we probably wouldn't recognize faces in the the clouds at all if not for a neat brain trick called pareidolia, the technical term for the common human tendency to seek out and find familiar patterns in random objects.

It's why a camera artifact might look like a base station on Mars , or ice floes look like crashed UFOs to some folks. But humans are especially geared toward seeing faces, which partly explains why people have reported seeing the face of Gandhi on Mars , as well as the iconic "Face on Mars ."
