An amateur weather report.

In Sparky's absence I'll just say that the weather to-day is very warm, blue sky with a little fluffy cloud, probably about 18c in the sun but there is a strong West wind. Not as good as the normal report but we seem to have lost our weather girl for the moment.

Thank you for the report. We check the weather report daily and regularly look at the Stay Restaurant webcam.

Amateur weather report No 2

Started a bit cloudy this morning with a few spots of rain at about 9am. It has got brighter, the cloud is now high and thin and the sun is coming through. According to the car thermometer it is 14.5c. Forecast for to-day....................a couple of decent G & T's on the roof garden in the sun.

Very good tonsyl, enjoy the sun, if you bump into Sparky tell her we miss her, give her our best wishes and tell her to sort it out

Hi Tonsyl,
I notice that you are in Wakefield, West Yorkshire (temporary Puerto Pollensa). I live in Wakefield and was just wondering which part of Wakefield you live in. I have never met anyone local to me who has been to PP nevermind who someone who is also a member of the forum!!!

Suemo x.

Sparky and the absence thereof!

We bumped into Mr S in town this afternoon and he tells me that the problem seems to be more than a wireless router. Apparently Sparky is a non too happy bunny. We shall be passing her location tomorrow so if we see signs of life, we'll pass on everyones' best wishes.

Thanks Tonsyl, if you could, I may have to resort to old fashioned texting

Please do send her my regards & tell I'm coping with the usual spammers (invisible to the rest of you!). Do let her know that there are loads of places now including the square with wifi - if that helps.! Zelda

Texting

Might be a good idea to go down the text route because if she could use her computer there is a bar not 20 metres away with WiFi.

Well, well, well... Tonsyl and Suemo... a couple of real 'Wessies' eh!
I was born in the City of Wakefield many, many, many years ago; but left as a 'nipper' when my parents moved to the sunnier climes of the east coast of..... "Yorkshire", not Mallorca.
Tonsyl, you're lucky to be "temporary Puerto Pollensa" as you put it!
I've been a bit of a P.P. nut for many, years now; like nearly everyone else on this forum I keep getting drawn back year after year!!! Why can't I just holiday somewhere else like a normal person???

Only good if you want to know the weather at 6.30, but gives an idea!

Amateur weather report No 3

It's good news and bad news to-day! The bad is that it is a mixture of sun and showers at the moment and generally overcast, with a temperature (according to the car guage) of 15c. The good news is that the next 3 or 4 days are set to be wall to wall sun and hot enough to boil an egg, well sit out anyway! Right this minute there is not a breath of wind and the bay is like a mill pond.

Hi Pescador,
No I cannot claim to be a real "wessie" as I have only lived in the Riding for 8 years this time and 6 previously. I am actually from Bella's part of the world, well actually the better bit cos she's from London/Kent and I was London/Surrey. I think I can apply for Yorkshire citizenship in about 20 years time, if we are still there (whell anywhere come to that) but the temporary PP bit is our retirement holiday, a long stay for a change which will come to an end all too soon!
