Record temperatures.

Hi Sparky, I don't know if you saw the Spanish TV this morning but on one of the channels it was showing how near the current temperatures are to records for this time of the year. My very rough translation was that it looks like a long hot summer.

Yes Tonsyl i have seen the TV and even the locals are saying it is very warm for early Spring and are worried about July/August temps . Oh well!! better start stocking up on agua .

I Sparky, thanks for your earlier post regarding 'survival' in P.P. during mid-summer.
It reminded me that I once said something similar to a Scotsman (there are lots of them in P.P., residents as well as those on holiday). He said that you tend to get used to the weather as it warmed up during the summer months, but he also did say - just like you - it was best to get out of the mid-day heat and have a 'kip' (siesta). Far more plesant slightly later in the day as it cooled a little.
Ahh well, keep drinking the agua (during the day) and save the alchohol for Nostalgia!!!

Did you see the "invasion" last night? The Police set up what looked like a crime scene at the apartments next to Casa Isabel early evening with blue tape. When we walked past later the doorway was covered in wasps, ,millions of 'em. (Not friendly Hornets,Snowy !!)

Must be the unseasonably high temperatures, do you reckon ?

Afraid April is the time they come out of hibernation. They are pretty aggresive at the moment so need to be avoided at all costs!

Good side is they love to eat the flies!

OMG!!!! i missed that BL . It was very warm last night, i went out at 10pm and it was 18c, God knows what August temps are going to be if it's this hot in early April.
