It was considerably cooler yesterday Mike, for me a nice respite before it starts ramping up again but the poor tourists must have been a bit peeved .

Enjoy your respite Sparky, here it's continuous (currently a cloudy 14c ...).

Congratulations on your 9000th post, btw. :)

Sparky,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but when you give your yesterday's high / low readings, is the high a sun or shade figure?

Irrespective of this figure, people need to remember the intensity of the sun, even through light cloud, and apply appropriate protection.

Keep up the good work.

The high is always in the sun :).

Thanks. Assumed that, as your highs don't tie up with the forecasts, but thought I should make sure.

I remember seeing a digital thermometer in the port a few years ago showing 45℃!!! As I was heading back from a walk!!!

That digital thermometer has gone now but there is one further along C/Juan XX111 outside the chemists :).

What a gorgeous one today. Best of the week so far. Tell me Sparky, was that you sitting a few tables away at the Capri earlier? What a great place to sit - it's almost like being on your own boat, if you know what I mean. Mrs J thought it would be very rude if I were to interrupt you! Anyway, keep up the excellent service, and congrats on passing the 9000 mark!
