Este tiempo esta absurdo.
I was going to use an expletive but decided better. Friends arrived on Saturday. They spend every summer on the Algarve. 22 years consecutively and always hot and sunny. I assured them our lovely island was "pretty safe".
Saturday - tormenta
Sunday - OK
Monday - persisistently rained until 3pm
Today - persistsently raining.
Tomorrow - they are flying to Faro.
Oh dear.
Apparently most of the Med is in glorious sun. There is an atmospheric issue off Spain where a front passing through is gathering strength and dumping rain all over Mallorca.
If we have the same tomorrow I am off to Faro too!

It's August so it can only be temporary. Anyway, I'd much rather have the climate of Mallorca, where it can get a bit more rain but keeps it looking lusher, rather than the barren, dry and parched look of some parts of Southern Spain and Portugal.
