Hi All,
We arrive in PP on Sat 23rd July for 2 weeks. It's our first visit and we are really looking forward to it. Bit gutted to see there is some rain forecast around our first few days (it's probably my fault - I am so unlucky with weather on holiday!!). If the worst does happen - has anyone got any suggestions for things to do please? If it was just me and hubby we would just sit in a bar for the day, but we also have our nine year old daughter to consider. Any suggestions most welcome! Many thanks!

things to do

Hi we've been here 2 weeks so far and we are here for a further 2 weeks. So far there has been the odd shower of rain but it lasted for only a few minutes. It didn't alter any of our plans. There has been a few cloudy days but still warm and there is so much to do that we are worn out already. I have a 12 year old boy to entertain but thankfully he is happy to play at the pool in our hotel and has made loads of friends. On the beach there are the usual day time activities, canoeing, kite surfing, sailing classes for children at the harbour. Alcudia is only a short bus journey away and there is a water park, there is a larger one down south. Bus services are excellent. Where are you staying as maybe there will be a childrens club? We have one in our hotel which is a great ways for the children to make friends and they are fully supervised in the afternoon.

If you have wheels then a trip to the caves at either Campanet or Porto Cristo (cuevas del drach and cuevas del hams)

Things to do if it rains

Thanks for both replies - most helpful! I feel a bit better to know the showers are usually short but the temp is still warm ! (Might take my jumper out of the case now! We will be staying at the Bonanca apartments next to the Laguna bar/pool, so no children's club but I'm sure there will be plenty of kids around for my daughter to make pals with.
We have not hired a car yet, but we may do when we arrive just for a couple of days (especially if weather isn't so good).
Only one more sleep to go !
:)

Palma Aquarium is an excellent choice if the weather does turn however I think its only going to be the odd shower inbetween the sunshine and still warm. Warm rain can be fun! A stroll over the hills to Boquer Valley or Cala San Vicente if you dont want to go too far...... but need to be kept busy.
