Music starts about 9:30 pm.......Always worth trying to book a table as it gets very busy.

Guillermo and friends play Mulligans Irish Bar on Tuesdays.

See an open mic night in the old bar cultural in the square on Thursday 8th September in Port Pollensa. Starting between 8-9pm till late. It will be hosted by Guillermo Segui Rotger, Derek Holt, Peter Viellechner and Maria Fernandeze, (may be every week?).

Had some good music on our visit this time
Including John Lytham Hustlers Derek Holt and of course Guillemo .
Lemon Lounge very quiet

One Bar which we have really enjoyed the music is Norai the Tapas bar by the Marina Roundabout A brilliant girl singer from Argentina and partner not sure i hef is Dutch She is Sofia and he is Phillipe They call themselves Disaster Duo He is great keyboard player Briilliant soul blues voice and do their own version of songs Not like parrots on X Factor !
Have been on Tuesdays and Thursdays and people have stood outside for hours to listen Not sure if they will be on for much longer as everything getting quieter but very very good and worthy of bigger venue

Unfortunately The Hustlers are not performing at O'Haras tonight.

Apparently, the Hotel next door has complained about the noise!! Again.
Although it's probably noise from the revellers in the street, the live music gets the blame
Apparently the police target the live music as they can do nothing about the real problem.
Ohara's was there before the hotel...a bad decision to open a hotel then!!
Then again I've heard of people buying apartments above the businesses in the Square, then complaint about the noise!!

So....the choice for tonight is either John Lynam at The Flora or Derek Holt at the Rosa Blanca.

When I spoke to Derek last night, after a fabulous performance of the Fat Cats Jazz at Mollins CSV, he indicated that he was playing at RB!
Will try and confirm.

That is really annoying about the Hotel next to OHaras They are always careful about keeping the doors shut in OHaras and it is hardly late when they finish
Everywhere seems very strict about finishing on time

We were annoyed when we were over and The Hustlers couldnt start until the Football had finished Im sure the crowd in the Bar were there for the Hustlers not the football !

Guillermo has announced on FB that The Hustlers are finished at O'Haras for the season after being cancelled last week, apparently due to a noise complaint from a local hotel!

It's a shame that a well controlled live music event that finishes before midnight, is sacrificed due to petty squabbles between businesses, when the real problem is more probably the louder noise from revellers on the street.

That's a shame. Combined with the fact that O'Hara's now shows Friday night soccer, and delays the start of the live music until after the match, I wonder how long it will be until The Hustlers find an alternative venue?
