Top 3 restaurants in PP 2010

Yes Smiddy, most poor restaurants would soon close anyway, and its easier to agree on what is regarded as making a good one, but its more conjecture what constitutes a bad restaurant, its more a personal thing, someone’s top three best would be someone’s top three worst, then we would all up arguing, then Zelda would close the thread, thats what usually happens doesn’t it. :)

Well so far out of 17 people there have been 26 different restaurants voted for, which is interesting, top three so far, Stay on 8, El Posito on 6 and C’an Josep and Tangos joint on 4 votes.

Are you allowed to vote Sparky, aren’t you employed by the first two?

In no particular order

Tribeca
La Piazza
Stay (not my choice but the rest of the family love it)

Does anyone know the name of the restauarant (locally owned) that is up the side street where the Tobacco shop is located? Food there is also excellent but can't remember the name!

There are so many good restuarants to choose from in the Port but our's would be:

1. Ca'n Currassa which is not particularly cheap but great food and ambiance

2. Ca'n Ferra (Martin's) very cheap, good food and great atmosphere.

3= O'Lume superb food, very reasonable price and great mine host in Jamie.
(looking forward to trying the new restuarant next month which
I'm sure will have a much improved atmosphere so could move
up)

3= Hells Kitchen very good reasonably priced food and a fun place to be.

Lunch

Bonaire Restaurant (view over the Marina)
Stay (snack menu ~ sat outside)
Tolos

Evening

C'an Pacienci
Stay (A la Carte or MDD)
S'an Suriell (sp - Pepe's Restaurant next to Restaurant Llenaire)

Out of area

Lunch

Orient Pork or Alaro Lamb

Evening

Victoria (best views)

Couldn't make my mind up on the order so flipped a coin and had to have a joint third

O'Lume
C'an Josep
La Fortalesa/Tango's

For me, based on not having visited much recently and therefore have many new ones to try yet:-

Manduca - great varied menu - it's where the young locals seem to eat alot
C'an Ferrar - good value and friendly
Tango - good value, good food, good location

But... there are so many nore that could easily nudge into the mix!

GG :)

Mine were always based outside of PP...

L'Aup
Ca'n Pacienci
Ca'n Cuarassa

Pollensa Town...

El Temple
Ca N'Olesa
Ca'l Lloro

I still mourn Ca'n Costa and Balaixa...:(

Los faroles, Can Curassa and stay

La Llonja - the best
O Lume - Jaime is always pleasant & good food
Tango - I'm a sentimentalist!

MWC hope you dont mind but I have collated the result to date, up to post 36 giving 3pts for 1st choice 2pts 2nd and 1pt 3rd.
Its very interesting reading so far 35 restaurants have been voted for in
1st Place is El Posito with 22 points
2nd Place is Stay with 19 points
3rd Place is O'Lume with 16 points
4th Place is C'an Josep with 14 points
5th Place is Tangos with 13 points

Hope to post full Table later

I haven't got a top 3 - as I have to admit to likeing Alcudia restaurants but add me in for your table for top 1 in PP as
Can Cuarassa please Snows x

Just two questions Snowy, some people put theirs down in no particular order, so did all three choices get 3pts? and some of us put down joint places, did each equal choice get the same pts?. ;) :)
