My Top 5 bars in PP

1/. La Cantina at La Llonga - lovely to watch the sunset.

2/. Cappuccino terrace - colourful location with good sea view.

3/. La Bodeguita - Mallorcan bar with lovely free tapas and nice cold beer.

4/. Illa D'or terrace - beautiful view over the bay.

5/. Bony's - good atmosphere and able to watch life go by especially when market is on.

There are plenty of others but these are my favourite this year so far. All do good gin and tonics as well!!

Ok the results for June are as follows

1st Illa D'Or Terrace 24 points
2nd Batucada 21 points
3rd Laguna 17 points
4th Nostalgia 15 points
=5th Miramar & Cappuccino 13 points

Some other interesting facts

Of the 12 people who scored this month

Illa D'Or terrace featured in the highest number of top 5's (8 people)
Cultural appeared in the second highest number of top 5's (6 people) but failed to make the overall top 5
Batucada was scored number 1 by the most people (4 people)

Overall 28 places were nominated , 13 of which only appeared in one persons list.

Very interesting CD i wonder if things will change during July/August when we will have mostly families voting and so the more "late night" bars might be replaced , thank you for taking the time to run this thread .

I think a very well earned win for the terrace at the Illa D'or. A fabulous location that just is the icing on the cake at the end of a beachside walk from Llenaire.

As an aside, may I make mention of how stunning the flowers growing up the front of the Sis Pins/Cappuccino are at the moment. Just beautiful.

And..as a footnote, the Miramar still are using those 1970's beermugs...ahhh!!!

SWS, i think that because this thread did not start as early as the 5 best restaurant thread we can assume that CD means up to the end of June and she will be doing monthly updates with the overall winner at the end of the season .

Our top 5 places for a drink (wouldn't necessarily call them bars) are:

1. Terrace at Illa D'or........expensive but fantastic setting

2. Terrace at Stay.......almost as good a setting

3. Joker.....great place to people watch

4. Capri.....another great place to people watch

5. Cappuccino......ultra expensive but lovely in the evening

Illa D'or terrace .... just because ....
Lemon Lounge ... took my mum here, lovely to see her enjoying the tribute acts.
Bellavista ... not a bar but lovely place to chill with a coffee or glass of wine.
Yatch Club .. first time this holiday, will definately be back.
Laguna .. old favourite, drink and a swim

Top bars in Puerto Pollensa

Our top 5 are currently:-

1) The Rustic Cafe - always a great welcome there and open late
2) Illa d'Or Terrace by the sea - great service in one of the best locations
3) Nostalgia - great service and lively atmosphere - also open late!
4) La Bodeguita - great location for late afternoon drinks and usually a free tapa served as well - popular with the locals so always a great atmosphere
5) Cantina DelMollNou - another great location (at the end of the pier after Stay Restaurant), live music on Wednesday evenings and a wonderful place to watch the sunset.

Top 5 during our July visit

1. Circulo Cultural - really cheap, could people watch here all day with the added bonus of some great live entertainment this year
2. Illa D'or Terrace - because the location is so perfect but it is expensive
3. La Bodeguita -especially on the tapas route, great atmosphere and best tapas.
4. Marina Cafe - more of a coffee/wifi stop than a drinks spot
5. Geminis - first time this trip, really impressed especially now I know they are a Real Madrid bar!

Nostalgia moved out of top 5 this time, still haven't made it to Batucada but will do soon!
