Transport from airport to P.P

Hi,
Can anyone give me some info on best transport from airport to pp, end of july..
Been quoted 60 euro e/w in taxi.
4 people. any tips please?

IF YOU ARE NOT HIRING A CAR TAXI IS BEST BET. THE RATE FOR THIS YEAR FOR THE LOCAL TAXIS IN PP IS 65€ SO 60€ SEEMS A GOOD BET.
ALSO THEY WILL NOT CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR CASES ETC LIKE THE ONES AT THE AIRPORT DO, SO BEST BOOK A PP ONE TO PICK YOU UP AND THEY ALSO KNOW WHERE TO DROP YOU OFF WHERAS THE AIRPORT ONES CAN DRIVE AROUND LOOKING FOR APARTMENT AND COSTING MONEY.
ONE ALTERNATIVE I HAVE USED IN THE PAST IS TO HIRE A CAR FOR 1 DAY FROM A COMPANY THAT HAS AN OFFICE IN PP AS WELL AS PALMA AIRPORT AND USE IT TO GET THERE AND TO DO A BIG SHOP FROM A SUPERMARKET ESPECIALLY FOR HEAVEY ITEMS LIKE WATER BEER ETC. THEN DROP THE CAR OFF IN PP. THIS MIGHT BE THE RIGHT OPTION FOR YOU.

how long are you going for?,are you planning any trips?,if a taxi is costing you £80 both ways,if you are just out for the week,a cars about £90,all according to model,its just so convenient with a car.

I was in PP last week and decided to try the bus option to the airport. From PP this was very easy. The ride was just over an hour. There's about a 5 min walk in Palma to the Placa Espana where the airport bus stop is, but it was quite painless. Hopped on a bus immediately and that took about 20 mins.

Grand total for this was 5 euros - If you're looking to save some cash, then this might be for you. Even if you only do it one way.

FYI, My taxi from the airport cost 70 euros (80 with tip).

Thanks Linzzzz, Think we going to get a taxi from airport, with two girls 16 and 15 and four cases, bus might be a bit much.! Thanks again.
