Transportation from Mallorca airport to Pollenca

Other then renting a car are there other modes of transporation to Pollenca from the airport at Mallorca?
For instance cabs or bus?

You can pre book a Taxi for your airport journeys see www.puertopollensa.com/transport.html or you can travel by bus if you go from the airport into Palma and get the Pollensa bus from there, but depends on your flight times.

Thank you I will check out that web site. One more question regarding renting a car. Is there anything special I (as a US citizen) would need with regards to renting a car? I have done it many times in Germany, but I do not know the law for Majorca.

transportation from Mallorca airport to Pollensa

As a regular visitor to Puerto Pollensa I use the services of www.majorca-airport-transfers.com for travel to and from Palma airport. We have tried taxis from the airport taxi rank and used pre booked local taxis, but after one of them turning up late to get us to the airport and another taxi breaking down late at night I tried Majorca airport transfers and their service has been excellent.
They may be a few euros more than some transfer services but these days you get what you pay for.They give me peace of mind and have never let me down. The drivers are friendly, the vehicles are air conditioned and the online booking office most helpful.

Last time we got a taxi to pollenca from out side, we had pre booked one, but as the flight was delayed (as usual) the taxi was nowhere to be seen, it was after midnight when we arrived, and there were still enough taxis for everyone on the flight. Cost about £40 but still beter than sitting on a coach for 1 1/2 hours!

If travelling alone, a cheaper option is www.resorthoppa.com

The cost from Palma Airport to Port de Pollenca is £10.50 or about 15 Euros one way. I have only used them once so far. Because my inbound flight was delayed I had to wait 1.5 hours for the next transfer, but as I was on my own it did not bother me. The public bus in the daytime via Palma is very efficient and also cheap. If you are only making one trip to PP or it's an annual holiday with 2 or more people then the taxi is the least hassle. If you are on your own and travel light then regular taxi fares soon mount up at 67 or 73 Euros a go.
