happy to tell you the trencadora is up and running for season 2006 as we´ve been for a menu del dia and the food was great as always we´re be back soon

Trencadora
First visit to Trencadora - and certainly wont be the last!
The bio centre is no more - despite adverts still showing it, they are updating even as we type!
A lovely combination of modern and traditional ambience with local artists painting on the stone walls.
The building used to be - many many years ago - a storage and pressing place for the almonds, hence the press in the garden area.
Not very large inside, I dont think they can take many more than 30 covers inside - and definately more adult than child friendly. The terrace area looked lovely and this is the best place to take children at lunch time for lunch time menu.
The food was delicious and exciting. The only thing I could fault was the appitiser which was a TEENY glass of carrot juice/mousse, which couldnt really be extracted very well,( infact I tried tapping it out a little and spilled it!) Music was well chosen, with a mixture of English and Spanish - perfect.
3 course meal with appitiser, cocktail, bottle of wine and coffee for 2 about 120 euros. Loved the staff - and of course the chef - and plan to go there often enough to be on first name terms!

Thanks for the great review - I'm so glad Trencadora seems to be back to its old self. We had such a lovely meal there back in October 2004 and the reviews since seemed to suggest it had fallen a little.
I will look forward to visiting in the summer with the children at lunchtime, perhaps!

trencadora...wow!
Just returned to Pollença and went for dinner at Trencadora. Had a superb meal - menu del noche which consisted of a 3 course meal with an excellent variety of dishes for only 23€. We came here only once last year just before leaving...thank goodness we found it and we will now become regular customers! Its not easy to find but when you do I promise you that you'll not be disappointed..well done to all at Trencadora
