Trip report - July 8-22nd

I know, I know - it was last month and we are nearly in September. Its just that the depression sets in when you get back and all you can think about is when you can next get out to PP. Anyway, here goes, the highs and lows of our 2 weeks. We stayed in a wonderful apartment above the Iru Restaurant. Great position for people watching. We saw the lady promenading with her pig on a lead - it was hilarious - I'm sure this pig thought it was a dog. It even laid on its back for people to tickle its belly. Had a wonderful view of the fireworks and was there when the town celebrated winning the world cup. We saw the excellent tribute act to Michael Jackson in the square - it was so busy that night it felt a bit like old times in PP. On the whole it was very quiet. We didn't have to wait for a table the whole fortnight. Weather was great - what more can I say except I can't wait to go back.

Me too Favie. The sky is dark and the rain is coming down - it feels like Autumn. I think i'm getting SAD syndrome! I need to be in the warm sunshine in PP

Thanks Sparky. We always enjoy our holiday in PP. It always feels like we are home from home. I just wish I could stay for longer.

Oh how i remember that feeling, i thank my lucky stars every morning when i walk out onto the balcony and see the mountains.

Duncan, I positively swear it wasn't the alcohol. All of us saw it unless we were having a mass hallucination! I should have taken a photo, but was laughing too much.

Me too Sparky, glad I don't have to go through the annual trawl of brochures and then choose PP. Glad you had a good time jjacks.
