Our holiday got off to a great start when OH sorted out the hire car at Record before I had got our cases
fab!
We were in PP before lunch and after a dash round Eroski it was great to chill out before going out to Guru as we usually do on our first night. Port seemed much busier than we are used to as we are a few weeks later than our usual early visit. We were crammed into a corner in Guru and eventually completely blocked in by other tables which I don't like and the poor waitress struggled to push her way through to us. Food was good though, but when we asked for more drinks we never got them. Returned several nights later and it was so different as quieter and calmer and food was great and we got that second drink each.
Last year we tried several times to go to Citrus but couldn't ever catch it open. We were so pleased this year to see it open and with the food we had on our first visit we went back for our last night. Food was fresh and beautifully presented, especially the starters. Didn't have room for a desert but had a rather strong Mojito one night...
Had a couple of breakfasts in Joker which were very enjoyable whilst looking out across the bay.
Ate twice in Hells Kitchen - absolutely fantastic quality and value as usual, can not fault this restaurant at all.
Had a couple of meals which were disappointing - dry lamb at Bar Coral, which will be our only visit there, which is a shame a people were so friendly and restaurant obviously full of regulars. Also went to Nicos and had to wait ages then when food came it was a bit thrown together, but they were full inside and out so I guess they were too busy to care much.
Went to El Posito on our Saturday evening and it was shut
never went back that way so will have to try it in the future.
Back on the island in September but staying in another resort for a bit of a change, but only after making sure we could have the Wednesday in PP for the market and breakfast at Joker
