Hi,

I've booked Villa Crestaix in August at villaparade.co.uk.

Does anyone know this villa?

It seems to be very near to the Palma/Pollesa road (noise?).

Thank you very much in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum! I don't know the villa you've mentioned but Crestaix is a quiet and peaceful residential area about 15 /20 minutes from PP. You turn off the Pollensa/ Palma road to get there, which is a busy main road ,but if the villa is actually in Crestaix it shouldn't be noisy at all.

Hope this helps :)

Hi and welcome as well, not sure exactly where you are, but just let you know the villa we stay in is very close to the main road past Pollensa, 50 metres away, and although there is a rush hour of sorts, say 7 - 8 in the morning and 6-7 at night, the noise has never really been a problem for us. It came be busy at times, especially when we are there in August, but with a lot of the traffic now going by the motorway down to Alcudia it isn't as bad as it used to be, I hope this helps.

Do you mean this villa: Villa Crestaix - it is situated right in Crestaix & there is a 'View villa on Map' link on the left of the page on Villa Parade.

Hi you wont have a problem with road noise , it is a quite area. We have use villa parade many times and all the villas are top notch and in good locations. Have a great hol !

Hi you will have a good time there, the area is close to the main road dont think you will have problem with that.. for me personally i would rather be closer ,, but crestaix is quite away from pollenca town about 8kms and even further from pp and beaches erc..there is nothing in that area eg local shop ..supermarket..nothing except if you want to go paintballing!! You may find it a pain to be jumping in your car if you want to go out and eat or pop to get milk ...but if all you want to do is stay round the house and sunbathe you will be fine.. sorry to be too truthful.. I have been round that area only last week..

@moosey

Maybe I understood you wrong, but was it your statement that you do not understand why I rent a villa there?

I go with my family there. For my 6 year old daughter is most important to have a pool. To go to the beach with a much "luggage" we will take the car even it would be 1 kilometer away.

For the supermarket it is the same thing. We will go shopping maybe two or three times and will take the car.

So if it is not noisy everthing is fine for us.

What would be better if we would be 1 kilometer away from Pollenca?

I will send you a private mesage

Does anyone else know this residential area called Crestatx or Crestaix?

Is it true that it is neglected or scuffy there? :confused:

Thanks for help in advance

I have just searched in the search engine on this forum and you type crestaix, and another review from another person has come up wasnt sure how to link it.. thought you might find it helpful

There is one other thread but it is dated 2005 so any building mentioned then should be complete by now!

We are staying here in July-it all looks good-we have used Villaparade twice before and been happy with the villas and the customer service.

@daisygirl

You will stay in "Villa Crestaix" or in another Villa booked at VillaParade?

Hi -we go there in few weeks. will post when we get back to advise what it is like.

I really like Crestaix, it is just a chilled out place to be. I have stayed there quite a few times, and delighted that Meson is opening again (11). Only 2 miles to Sa Pobla and really convenient for train travel to Palma.

Crestaix

My sister and her family stayed in a beautiful villa in Crestaix last Summer. In fact, all the villas in that location look fabulous. There was no noise problem and they found it very quiet. However, you must use the car at all times e.g. you cannot walk to get a morning newspaper, have coffee etc. Pollenca is to far to walk to and Puerto Pollenca is even further. Despite the fact that the villa was fabulous with a pool, tennis court, bbq area etc they will not return there and will be staying closer to Puerto Pollenca this year.

Crestatx

I really don't feel that it is too remote. I actually like the fact that you are staying slightly away from the tourist action. It is only a very quick trip to the shops at Sa Pobla, I suppose it just depends what you want on holiday. I like to be away from the crowds, my idea is to visit the resorts but chill out in a nice villa away from tourist noise. We used to visit the area back in the early 90's when the roads were like dirt tracks, I have some photos and it is quite amazing how things have changed.
